Acrylic Enclosure
Features
Acrylic Enclosure
This is a method of pouring acrylic monomers in a simple mold, an enclosure and then hardening it by applying constant temperature and pressure. By doing so, the various objects can be enclosed inside the acrylic material. Although it is a method widely recognized by many to make gift items and commemorative objects, we have proposed it to the creators from a craftwork viewpoint to explore possibilities of new application development.
The photo on the upper right-hand side shows enclosed “oyster shells” used as a decoration for a store. Depending on the enclosed objects, design-related outcomes such as the finish and appearance may be adversely affected. Therefore, prior testing and examination are recommended.
